FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Legality and regulation
Is it legal to import CBD into Brazil?+
Yes. Importing cannabidiol-based products for personal use is permitted and regulated by ANVISA, Brazil’s health regulatory agency, under RDC 660/2022. You need a medical prescription and an import authorization, which is free and issued by ANVISA itself.
Is Mediport authorized by ANVISA?+
Yes. Mediport is on ANVISA’s list of manufacturers/exporters recognized for the exceptional importation of cannabis-derived products (Technical Note linked to RDC 660/2022).
Do I need a prescription to buy?+
Yes, always. All our products require a medical prescription. Any doctor with an active CRM (Brazilian medical license) can prescribe — they don’t need to be a specialist.
Could I have problems with customs?+
No, as long as the importation is covered by the ANVISA authorization. The product travels with the correct paperwork — and our team takes care of this with you.
The import process
How long does ANVISA authorization take?+
Usually a few business days. The request is made through the gov.br portal, and approval tends to come quickly when the paperwork is correct — and we check everything before submitting.
How long is the authorization valid?+
The import authorization is valid for 2 years and allows you to import the product multiple times during that period. The medical prescription is valid for 6 months.
How long does the product take to arrive?+
It ships from the United States directly to your home. The total time depends on international shipping and clearance — our team gives you an up-to-date estimate when you order and follows the tracking with you.
Does Mediport help with the paperwork?+
Yes — that’s what sets us apart. We organize the documents, file the ANVISA request with you and follow every step until delivery.
Products
What is the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum and isolate?+
Full spectrum contains all of hemp’s cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC), terpenes and a legal trace of THC (below 0.3%). Broad spectrum keeps the range of cannabinoids and terpenes, but with the THC removed. Isolate is pure CBD only, with no other cannabinoids. The right choice depends on your doctor’s recommendation.
Do the products have lab reports?+
Yes. Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory in the USA, and the certificates of analysis (COAs) for every batch are available at mediportlabs.com/coa — the same address as the QR code printed on the label.
Do the products contain THC?+
It depends on the line. The full spectrum oils and the gummies contain THC within legal limits; the broad spectrum and isolate oils have no detectable THC. The exact information is on each product page and in the batch lab report.
How should I use it, and what is the right dose?+
Dosage is always set by your doctor in the prescription. Never start or change doses on your own.
